Go for the Lost

INTRO

Prayer should be offered for the salvation of the lost. The Holy Spirit will honor our prayer and convict sinners. They are not aware of the danger of dying in their sin. One breath from Hell. If we pray in faith God is going to bring them to the feet of Christ.

I. GOD YEARNS FOR ALL TO BE SAVED

1. God is delaying his coming waiting for the lost 2 Pet. 3:9

2. Our prayers will save the lost 1 Tim. 2:1-4

II. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE LOST?

1. To be under Satan’s power 2 Tim. 2:25-26

2. Alienated from God’s promises and without hope Eph. 2:12

3. To spend eternity in hell without Christ Lk. 16:19-25

III. HOW DO PEOPLE GET LOST?

1. All are born lost, & need salvation Rom. 5:12; Psa. 51:5

2. Some are lost because they refuse to repent Mat. 21:32

3. Others are lost because they haven’t heard the truth Rom. 10:14

None of the things we do to impress each other inside the church mean much to God. It is when we roll up our sleeves and take the church out of the four walls where it really matters.
