How to Hear God's Voice

INTRO

Several avenues through which God speaks.

Every Christian should be able to hear God's voice (Jn 10:26-27)

I. HOW GOD SPEAKS TO US

1. God speaks through His Word (Psa. 119:130)

2. God speaks through His Spirit (1 Cor. 2:9-12)

a. To direct you (Acts 8:29; 10:19)

3. Through prophetic words (Acts 21:11)

4. God speaks through signs (Jdg. 6:37-40)

5. God speaks through dreams:

a. A Warning (Gen. 20:3)

6. Prophetic message (Num. 12:6)

7. Every Christian should be able to hear God (Jn. 10:27)

II. WE MUST HAVE AN EAR TO LISTEN

1. He that hath ears to hear (Lk. 8:8)

2. Unsaved ears cannot hear (Jer. 6:10; Acts 7:51)

3. Understanding is hearing (perceiving) (Mat. 13:13)

4. Enabled hearing comes through the Word (Rom. 10:17)

No Christian should have to ask, they should be able to hear God’s voice.
