Prosperity God's Way

INTRO.

Defining prosperity:

Success in everything you do Jos 1:8

Wealth without sorrow Pro 10:22

Believers are meant to receive all they've been given from God Spiritually, Physically, Materially, Financially Jesus gave us the package deal at the cross.

Christ has freed you from all curses Gal 3:13

I am not implying that if you live in lack, you have failed God. It's just a matter of a wrong belief system. This message can easily be misconstrued. Stay tuned till the end.

It is a matter of unending supply. Not only money.

I. THERE'S A CATCH

1. Never offered without a relationship (Jos 1:8)

a. God wishes to bless the righteous (Pro 13:22)

2. Wealth can destroy you without it (Jam 5:1-6)

a. Parable of the greedy farmer (Lk 12:16-21)

3. Gain does not mean godliness (1 Tim 6:5-6)

4. Wealth is not necessary for contentment (1 Tim 6:7-10)

a. You don't need it, but you can have it

5. Riches not by right will not satisfy (Jer 17:11)

6. Dangerous to an unconverted (Mk 10:21-31)

II. HOW TO PROSPER

1. Ignore the naysayers "American Gospel" beware!

2. If God says you can have it then you can (3 Jn 1:2)

a. Again not without a proper spiritual attituded

3. Meditate on God's Word and obey it (Psa 1:1-3)

4. To increase learn to give. (Lk 6:38)

a. Plant your seed (Jn 12:24)

b. Start with the tithe (Mal 3:8-11)

- purpose of the tithe (1 Cor 9:7-14)

c. Decide on your return (2 Cor 9:6-11)

d. Be honorable (1 Chr 4:10)
